Welcome to Bunkers (developed by Ajay Sah / Blue Catalyst). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Personal Information: When you create an account to use the Cloud Sync feature or join class groups, we collect your email address, an encrypted password, and a display name.
• Attendance Data: We collect and securely store your subject names, attendance logs (Present/Absent/No Class), target percentages, and class days on our cloud database (Firebase) to sync across your devices.
• Camera Access: The app requests camera permissions strictly for scanning QR codes to quickly import timetables from your peers. We do not record, store, or transmit your camera feed or images to any server.
• Push Notifications: We collect an anonymous Push Token generated by Expo/Firebase to send you daily attendance reminders and Mass Bunk Poll alerts.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the App's core functionality (attendance tracking, mass bunk polls).
• To authenticate users securely via Google Firebase Authentication.
• To enable real-time collaboration (Group classes, voting) among verified students.
• To send you important app-related notifications.

Third-Party Services

Our app relies on trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These include:

• Google Firebase (Firestore Database & Authentication)
• Expo (App Framework & Push Notifications)

Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, thus we are using commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Your data is secured using Firebase's encrypted database rules. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

App Functionality & Accuracy

The Bunkers app acts as a mathematical tool to help you calculate and track attendance. The "Bunk Advice" provided by the app is an algorithmic suggestion based on the data you manually input. We are not responsible for any actual academic consequences, attendance shortages, or disciplinary actions taken by your institution. Always verify your official college portal for actual attendance records.
